Ampliación doble calzada

Pamplona Cúcuta, Colombia

After completion, the Autopista Pamplona-Cúcuta will improve the road connection between Colombia and Venezuela and also with the North of the country. For the Viaduct 201, with an very tight bridge plan radius of 120m, the project team designed an economic formwork solution by using Top50 combined with DOKA's Cantilever Forming Traveller. Because of the limited space on the pierhead (L=8,0m) the starting procedure was done asymmetrically. That means, one CFT gets installed, casts the first segment on one side and afterwards there is enough space to install the 2nd traveller to cast symmetrically as usual for the free balanced cantilever method.
